Frequently asked questions
Organized by where you are in your shipment.
Before you ship
Complete our five-step quote form or call us. We'll need the route, vehicle details, your preferred pickup date and your contact information.
Earlier is better, and flexible dates help most of all. Tell us your ideal date and whether you have any hard deadline.
Distance, route popularity, vehicle size, condition, open or enclosed transport, season and how flexible your dates are all make a difference.
Open suits most everyday vehicles. Enclosed adds protection from weather and debris and is usually chosen for classic, exotic and high-value vehicles.
Usually. Choose inoperable on the quote form and tell us whether it rolls, steers and brakes so that the right equipment can be arranged.
Booking and payment
No. The form is a request for a quote. Pricing depends on the details of your shipment and is confirmed directly with you.
We coordinate your shipment from quote to delivery. Your carrier details, terms and insurance information will be confirmed before you commit.
Motor carriers are required to hold insurance. Ask for the certificate for your shipment and check that the coverage suits your vehicle.
Contact us as soon as your plans change. Cancellation terms are shared before you book.
Getting ready for pickup
Wash it so that marks are visible, remove personal items and toll tags, secure loose parts, and take dated photos.
It's best not to. Carriers are not licensed to move household goods, and those items generally aren't insured.
Keep it low, about a quarter of a tank, unless your carrier gives you different instructions.
You or someone you authorize, who is an adult, should be there to inspect the vehicle and sign the condition report.
In transit and delivery
Transit depends on distance, route and conditions. Coast-to-coast journeys generally take longer than a week, and shorter trips take a few days. Any times on this site are estimates, not guarantees.
We'll explain how you will get updates when you book. You can also call us during your shipment.
Compare the vehicle with the pickup condition report in good light. Check it all over before you sign.
Write it on the delivery report before you sign, photograph it and contact us as soon as possible.
